Travel to La Foret Conference and Retreat Center in the Black Forest area of Colorado Springs. La Foret is an open and affirming sanctuary facility that provids a safe and welcoming haven for programs that promote nurturing the spirit, connecting people with one another, refreshing the weary and inspiring healthy and confident future generations. All are welcome here.
Originally the summer home of Mrs. Alice Bemis Taylor, Ponderosa Lodge was built in 1928 by J.J.B. Benedict, a pioneer in the Rustic Style of architecture, and features soaring cathedral ceilings, striking wood-burning fireplaces, and original wrought-iron fixtures. Extra seating in an amazing loft overlooks both sides of the main hall. Four additional rooms are available for a Costumes Green Room and vending. One of the two bathrooms is handicap accessible. Ponderosa Lodge can accommodate 75 people.
Most Classes and Concerts will be in Ponderosa Hall.
Percussion Classes are in meadow or Indian Paintbrush Cabin.
We are lodged in Columbine and Indian Paintbrush Cabins, which have four rooms and DOUBLE bunk beds.
BEDDING CAN BE RENTED for $15 from La Foret
